The official website for Bushiroad Game’s Hunter X Hunter Nen x Impact fighting game confirmed this week that the game’s release has been delayed to 2025. The game, playable on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, was initially slated for release in 2024.
The game’s official website apologizes for the delay and states that it is due to the implementation and release of the rollback netcode, a system that makes communication delays during online battles feel smaller.
The battle fighting game by developer Eighting and publisher Bushiroad Games is based on Togashi Yoshihiro’s Hunter X Hunter manga. Togashi first published the manga in 1998 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump magazine, and Shueisha released the manga’s 38th tankoubon volume on September 4th, 2024. The manga has also inspired TV anime, films, OVAs, and stage plays.
