Kadokawa has confirmed that the Isekai no Sata wa Shachiku Shidai (The Other World’s Books Depend on the Bean Counter) Boys-love light novel series and manga franchise has been green-lit for an anime adaptation. The news was confirmed online and with the release of the manga’s sixth tankoubon volume.

Author Wakatsu Yatsuki started the story in March 2018 on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website, and Kadokawa published the first novel with illustrations by Ohashi Kikka in February 2019. The third novel was published in September 2021.
Irodori Kazuki started the manga adaptation of the novels in March 2020 on Kadokawa’s ComicWalker Website, now known as KadoComi. Kadokawa published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in October 2020 and the sixth volume on November 1st, 2024.
Yen Press releases the light novels and the manga adaptation in English under the title The Other World’s Books Depend on the Bean Counter. The second light novel was released in July 2024, and the third will be released on March 18th, 2025. The manga’s fourth volume was released in March 2024, and the fifth volume will be released on December 10th, 2024.
