The official website for the TV anime Senpai wa Otokonoko (This is Him) released a new trailer and visual for the anime sequel film titled Senpai wa Otokonoko: Ame Nochi Hare. The anime film will premiere on February 14th, 2025.

The Senpai wa Otokonoko TV anime premiered in Japan in July 2024, and all 12 episodes were streamed on the Crunchyroll website. Yanagi Shinsuke directed the TV anime at Project No.9 studio, and the anime’s main cast members were Umeda Shuuichirou as Makoto Hanaoka, Sekine Akira as Saki Aoi, and Uchida Yuuma as Ryuuji Taiga.
The TV anime was based on Pom’s Senpai wa Otokonoko web manga. Pom started the web manga in 2019 on the LINE Manga app, and Ichijinsha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in November 2021 and the 10th and final volume in October 2024. The manga is published digitally in English on the Line Webtoon service.
Can true love really overcome any obstacles? Saki, a high school student, confesses her feelings to Makoto. Taken aback, Makoto reveals his secret, but the sudden discovery doesn’t seem to bother Saki who is already head over heels for him. After being rejected, Saki asks Ryuji, Makoto’s childhood friend, for some advice on how to win his heart. A love triangle unfolds when Ryuji realizes that he might also have some feelings for his old friend.
