Nintendo has released a first-look trailer for its Nintendo Switch 2 system, slated for release later this year. Further details will be released on the Nintendo Direct: Nintendo Switch 2 presentation on April 2nd, 2025,

At a glance, the Nintendo Switch 2 will offer a bigger screen, a new USB-C connector at the top similar to the Steam Deck, bigger Joy-Cons with bigger sticks, more tactile buttons, and a new way to attach the Joy-Cons to both the console and the Joy-Con Grip.
The trailer confirms that the new system will play physical and digital Nintendo Switch games and exclusive titles for Nintendo Switch 2. However, it also states that certain Nintendo Switch games may not be supported or fully compatible with Nintendo Switch 2.
