The official website for the Kowloon Generic Romance TV anime has revealed the show’s second trailer and a new visual. It has also been confirmed that the anime will premiere on April 5th, 2025.

Iwasaki Yoshiaki (Love Hina, Boku-tachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai) is directing the anime at Arvo Animation studio, and the anime will star:
- Shiraishi Haruka as Reiko Kujirai
- Sugita Tomokazu as Hajime Kudou
- Okiayu Ryoutarou as Miyuki Hebinuma
- Ban Taito as Tao Gwen
- Koga Aoi as Yaomay
- Suzushiro Sayumi as Xiaohe
- Kawanashi Kengo as Yuulong
The anime is an adaptation of Mayuzuki Jun’s Kowloon Generic Romance manga. Mayuzuki (Koi wa Ameagari no youni) started the romance manga in November 2019 in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine, and Shueisha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in February 2020 and the 10th volume in October 2024. The manga’s 11th volume will be released on April 17th, 2025.
Yen Press publishes the manga in English and it released the ninth volume in January 2025. It describes the story below:
