Japanese publisher TO Books has confirmed that the Kaketa Tsuki no Mercedes: Kyuuketsuki no Kizoku ni Tensei Shita kedo Suteraresou nanode Dungeon wo Seiha suru (Mercedes and the Waning Moon: The Dungeoneering Feats of a Discarded Vampire Aristocrat/欠けた月のメルセデス～吸血鬼の貴族に転生したけど捨てられそうなのでダンジョンを制覇する～ ) light novel series by Firehead has been green-lit for an anime adaptation.

Author Firehead started the story in 2018 on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website, and TO Books published the first novel, with illustrations by KeG, in May 2011 and the third novel in February 2022. The series’s fourth novel will be released digitally on August 15th, 2025.
The novel series was adapted into a manga in 2021 by Edoya Pochi on TO Books’ Comic Corona website. TO Books published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in December 2021, and the fifth volume is scheduled for release on August 15th, 2025.
J-Novel Club releases both the novel series and manga adaptation in English under the name Mercedes and the Waning Moon: The Dungeoneering Feats of a Discarded Vampire Aristocrat. It will publish the third novel digitally on September 22nd, 2025, and it released the manga’s third volume digitally in June 2025.
