Shimazaki Mujirushi and Hama’s Katsuben Ouji no Hanayome-san manga will come to an end with the release of the fourth tankoubon volume on July 11th, 2024.
Shimazaki (Shiryou Jutsushi no Otetsudai, Elio to Denki Ningyou, Nina wa Papa o Ansatsu Shitai) and Hama (Shiryou Jutsushi no Otetsudai) started the manga in October 2021 on Square Enix’s Gangan Online website. Square Enix released the manga’s first volume in July 2022 and the third in November 2023.

The manga is set in Japan’s Taishou period when movies were still called moving pictures, and centers on the relationship between silent movie narrator Kousei Utsutsubashi, also known as Koushirou, and his wife Hanae, who is eight years younger than him, and is his wife by arranged marriage from their families. Still newlywed, Koushirou and Hanae’s relationship still seems distant, a fact that Koushirou worries about. However, when Hanae goes to Koushirou’s workplace to give him his lunch one day, her expression begins to change.
