The official website for the TV anime Fuguushoku “Kanteishi” ga Jitsu wa Saikyou Datta – Naraku de Kitaeta Saikyou no “Shingan” de Musou Suru (Even Given the Worthless “Appraiser” Class, I’m the Strongest) revealed the anime’s first promotional video and key visual. The anime will premiere on January 9th, 2025, on the Tokyo MX and BS11 channels, while ABEMA will stream the anime in Japan.

Ounishi Kenta (Ore Dake Haireru Kakushi Dungeon: Kossori Kitaete Sekai Saikyou, Marine Shukkou!!) is directing the anime at Okuru to Noboru studio. The anime will star Toya Kikunosuke as Ein, Tohno Hikaru as Yuuri, Suzushiro Sayumi as Ursula, and Serizawa Yuu as Pina. Staff for the show confirmed this week that Tsuda Minami will star as Kurohime, Ichinose Kana as Alice, and Aimi as Akahane.

The anime is based on the light novel series by Ibarakino and Hitaki YuIbarakino (Bouken ni, Tsuite Konaide Okaa-san!, Mudada to Tsuihou Sareta “Kyuutei Juui”) started the story in December 2019 on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website, and Kodansha published the first novel with illustrations by Hitaki (Otome Game no Heroine de Saikyou Survival) in September 2020 and the third novel in July 2024.

Fuji Morohoshi adapted the novel series into a manga in July 2020 in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket app. Kodansha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in November 2020 and the 12th volume on July 9th, 2024. The 13th volume will be released on November 8th, 2024.
