Kadokawa’s Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine confirmed this week that manga creator Hiroichi will launch a manga adaptation of Tanio Gin’s Sono Jubutsu, Toriatsukai ni Tsuki (Please Handle the Sacred Artifact Carefully) novel series. The manga will be serialised on Kadokawa’s Kadocomi website from June 2025.

Kadokawa published Tanio’s first occult mystery novel in August 2024 with illustrations by Aoji Maiko, and it released the second novel on April 25th, 2025.
The first novel is described below:
Naruse Yoshito, a first-year police officer, loses consciousness while rushing to the scene with his boss in response to a 911 call. When he wakes up, he is informed that his boss has been “cursed to death”. Naruse survives and is transferred to the “Specific Incident Countermeasures Office” of the National Police Agency. This is a department that investigates supernatural cases such as curses, hauntings, and weirdness. There, Naruse, together with a female psychic, Kuotenzen, investigate a murder case involving a cursed doll. Oni no Tsubo, Kotoribako. An occult mystery that solves the mystery of cursed objects.
