The 54th chapter of Inoue’s Kimi no Katana ga Oreru Made – Tsukimiya Matsuri no Koigataki (Until Your Sword Breaks – Matsuri Tsukimiya’s Romantic Troubles) manga has revealed that the manga will end with the release of its next chapter.
Inoue (Shinigami Bocchan to Kuro Maid) started the romantic comedy manga in May 2023 in Shogakukan’s Shounen Sunday magazine, and Shogakukan published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in August 2023. The manga’s fifth volume was released on April 11th, 2025.
The story, set in the Edo Era, follows Tsukimiya Matsuri, a beautiful girl who is admired by everyone, except the man she loves. Tsukimiya Yonosuke is not interested in her because they have grown up together since they were children and are like a family!
Yonosuke burns with one purpose: to avenge the death of his former lover by killing the general responsible for her death. Matsuri is desperate to turn Yonosuke away from wasting his life on vengeance, and to that end, she decides to try and fill Yonosuke’s head with only thoughts of her, until she can become Yonosuke’s reason for living. Even if the other party thinks of her as only family, the dedicated Matsuri will not be defeated!
