Futabasha has confirmed that Suisei’s Yuusha Party ni Kawaii Ko ga Itanode, Kokuhaku Shite Mita (There Was a Cute Girl in the Hero’s Party, So I Tried Confessing to Her/ 勇者パーティーにかわいい子がいたので、告白してみた。) light novel series and its manga adaptation by manga artist Kairi has been green-lit for a TV anime adaptation.

The anime’s official website has released a teaser visual and confirmed that Yamamoto Yasutaka will act as the chief director for the anime, while Mine Tomoniri will direct the show at Gekko studios. The anime will star Amasaki Kohei as Yoki and Hanazawa Kana as Cecilia.

Author Suisue started the story in July 2013 on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website, and Futabasha published the first novel with illustrations by La-na in October 2014. The third novel was released in August 2015.

The novels were adapted into a manga by Kairi in January 2021 on Futabasha’s Gaugau Monster website, and Futabasha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in June 2021. The manga’s 11th volume was released in March 2025, and its 12th volume is scheduled for July 30th, 2025.

The story follows Yoki, a man who is reincarnated into a fantasy world. Unfortunately, Yoki did not reincarnate as a hero or the demon lord; instead, he is the demon lord’s underling. When a hero’s party attacks the demon lord’s castle, Yoki is naturally there to fight against the heroes; however, when he sees the priest Cecilia, who is part of the hero’s party, he falls in love at first sight.
