Kodansha’s Morning magazine has confirmed that Debata Yuudai’s Futari Solo Camp (Solo Camping for Two/ ふたりソロキャンプ) manga will go on hiatus, due to the author’s health. The hiatus begins with the magazine’s next issue, and the magazine did not give a planned date of return.
Debata started the manga in October 2018 in Kodansha’s Morning magazine. Kodansha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in March 2019 and the 20th volume in April 2025. The manga’s 21st volume will be released on July 23rd, 2025.
The manga follows Kinokura Gen, who loves camping solo. He enjoys the quiet solitude away from the hustle and bustle of the city and being able to appreciate nature all by himself. But on one camping trip, his solitude is broken by the appearance of Kusano Shizuku, a young woman who wants to go solo camping by herself but is ill-prepared and entirely out of her league. While he tries to get her to go home so he can camp in peace, she refuses and stubbornly insists on accompanying him on future camping trips until she’s ready to camp solo. Thus, Gen and Shizuku begin their days of solo camping together.
The manga has been adapted into an anime, which premiered on July 10th, 2025, at 24:30 (effectively July 11th) on the Tokyo MX channel. Crunchyroll will stream the anime as it airs, under the English title Solo Camping for Two.
