Staff for the Seihantaina Kimi to Boku (You and I Are Polar Opposites/ 正反対な君と僕 ) TV anime have revealed the anime’s fourth promotional video. The anime is scheduled to premiere on January 11th, 2026, on the MBS, BTS and their affiliated channels, and it will be streamed on the ABEMA platform in Japan and on Crunchyroll in the West.

Nagatomo Takayoshi is directing the anime at Lapin Track, and the anime will star:
- Suzuhiro Sayumi as Suzuki
- Sakata Shougo as Tani
- Taniguchi Yuna as Watanabe
- Hirabayashi Konatsu as Sato
- Iwata Anji as Yamada
- Shimabukuro Miyuri as Azuma
- Katou Wataru as Taira
- Omori Cocoro as Nishi
- Kusunoki Tomori as Honda
The show is based on the Seihantaina Kimi to Boku romance manga by Agasawa Koucha. Manga author Agasawa (Koori no Jyouheki) started the manga as a one-shot in January 2021 and then began serialisation in May 2022 on Shueisha’s Shounen Jump Plus. Shueisha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in July 2022 and the eighth and final volume in March 2025.
Both MANGA Plus and Viz Media release the manga in English under the name You and I Are Polar Opposites. Viz Media will release the manga’s eighth volume on February 3rd, 2026, and it describes the story below:
“Suzuki’s a high school girl in love, but the guy she’s fallen for is nothing like her! While she’s cheerful, outgoing, and always trying to fit in, her classmate Yusuke Tani is stoic, quiet, and doesn’t seem to care what people think of him. Will Suzuki be able to overcome her anxieties and ask him out, or will she discover that opposites really don’t attract?”
