Staff for the “Omae Gotoki ga Maou ni Kateru to Omou na” to Yuusha Party o Tsuihou Sareta node, Outo de Kimama ni Kurashitai (ROLL OVER AND DIE) anime have revealed the first teaser promotional video and teaser visual for the show, which will premiere in 2026. In addition, it’s been confirmed that Nanase Ayaka will voice the protagonist, Flum Apricot.

The anime is based on the “Omae Gotoki ga Maou ni Kateru to Omou na” to Yuusha Party o Tsuihou Sareta node, Outo de Kimama ni Kurashitai (「お前ごときが魔王に勝てると思うな」と勇者パーティを追放されたので、王都で気ままに暮らしたい / ROLL OVER AND DIE: I Will Fight for an Ordinary Life with My Love and Cursed Sword!) novel franchise by author kiki.
Micro Magazine’s GC Novels label published kiki’s first novel with illustrations by Kinta in July 2028 and it released the fourth novel in January 2020. The fifth novel in the series, with illustrations by kodamazon, was released on May 30th 2025.
The novels were adapted into a manga by Minakata in December 2018 in Micro Magazine’s Comic Ride, and Micro Magazine published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in January 2020. The manga’s seventh volume was released in April 2025.
Seven Seas Entertainment publishes both the novel series and manga adaptation in English under the name ROLL OVER AND DIE: I Will Fight for an Ordinary Life with My Love and Cursed Sword!. The fifth novel in the series is scheduled for release on December 30th, 2025, and the manga’s seventh volume is set to be released on January 27th, 2026.
An audiobook version of the novels is also released by Seven Seas Entertainment, and so far, the first three novels have been released as English audiobooks. Seven Seas Entertainment describes the novel’s story below:
