The official Twitter account for Micro Magazine’s GC Novels label has confirmed that the “Omae Gotoki ga Maou ni Kateru to Omou na” to Yuusha Party o Tsuihou Sareta node, Outo de Kimama ni Kurashitai (ROLL OVER AND DIE: I Will Fight for an Ordinary Life with My Love and Cursed Sword!) novel franchise by author kiki has been greenlit for a TV anime adaptation.

The Twitter account also posted an illustration by artist Kinta, the illustrator for the first four novels in the series, and an illustration by artist kodamazon, the new illustrator for the novel series. Minakata Sunao, the artist for the manga adaptation, also drew an illustration in celebration of the news.

Micro Magazine’s GC Novels label published kiki’s first novel with illustrations by Kinta in July 2028 and it released the fourth novel in January 2020. The fifth novel in the series, with illustrations by kodamazon, will be released on May 30th, 2025.
The novels were adapted into a manga by Minakata in December 2018 in Micro Magazine’s Comic Ride, and Micro Magazine published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in January 2020. The manga’s seventh volume will be released on April 28th, 2025.
Seven Seas Entertainment publishes both the novel series and manga adaptation in English under the name ROLL OVER AND DIE: I Will Fight for an Ordinary Life with My Love and Cursed Sword!. The manga adaptations’ first six volumes have been released in English, as well as all of the first four light novels. An audiobook version of the novel series is also being released, and the third novel will be released as an English audiobook on May 29th, 2025.
