Staff for the Yuusha Party o Oidasareta Kiyou Binbou (The Jack of All Trades Was Kicked Out of the Hero’s Party/ 勇者パーティを追い出された器用貧乏) TV anime have revealed the main promotional video and key visual for the show. The anime will premiere in January 2026.

Kanbe Hiroyuki (Viper’s Creed, Oreimo) is directing the anime at Animation Studio 42, and the anime will star:

One day, Orun Dura was expelled from the Hero Party he belonged to by his childhood friend Oliver, the leader of the group, for lack of skill. For Orun, who had converted from a “Swordsman” to an “Enchanter” for the sake of the party and supported his companions with magic he had developed himself, this was something he could never accept.
However, even his companions, who should have shared the good times and the bad, mock him for being a jack of all trades and master of none, and he is told that his successor has already been chosen. In despair, Orn bids farewell to the Hero Party and renews his resolve as an explorer, beginning his solo endeavors…
The anime is based on the Yuusha Party o Oidasareta Kiyou Binbou: Party Jijou de Fuyojutsu-shi o Yatteita Kenshi, Bannou e to Itaru (勇者パーティを追い出された器用貧乏 ～パーティ事情で付与術士をやっていた剣士、万能へと至る～) light novel series by Togami Itsuki and Kisaragi Yuri.
Togami started the story in February 2021 on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website, and Kodansha published the first novel, with illustrations by Kisaragi (Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei), in September 2021. The series’ latest novel, number nine, will be released on October 31st, 2025.
The novel series was adapted into a manga by Yenozou in October 2021 in Kodansha’s Suiyoubu no Serious website, and Kodansha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in March 2022. The manga’s 16th volume was released in September 2025, and the manga’s 17th volume is scheduled for release on December 9th, 2025.
