The official website for the Zutaboro Reijou wa Ane no Moto Konyakusha ni Dekiai Sareru (Bethrothed to My Sister’s Ex) TV anime has revealed a second promotional video and a new visual. It has also been confirmed that the anime will premiere on Japanese TV on July 4th, 2025 (effectively on July 5th at 1:53 a.m.) on the MBS, TBS and CBC channels.

Kitagawa Takayuki is directing the anime at LandQ studios, and the anime will star Motomura Rena as Marie and Hamano Daiki as Kyuros. Other cast members include:
- Tanaka Minami as Anastasia
- Kimura Ryohei as Louisphon
- Hikasa Youko as Mio
- Ouhara Sayaka as Ryu-Ryu
The anime is based on Tobirano’s Zutaboro Reijou wa Ane no Moto Konyakusha ni Dekiai Sareru light novel series. Tobirano (Hoshikuzu no Hanayome wa Unmei no Koi kara Nigedashitai) started the story in October 2019 on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website, and Futabasha published the first novel, illustrated by Murasaki Mai (Akuyaku Reijou Nanode Last Boss o Katte Mimashita), in April 2020. The most recent novel, number eight, was released in January 2025.
Nakagura Chikage has adapted the novel series into a manga. The manga began in July 2020 on Futabasha’s Gaugau Monster website, and Futabasha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in January 2021 and the eighth volume in December 2024. The manga’s ninth volume will be released on June 23rd, 2025.
Seven Seas Entertainment will publish both the light novel series and the manga adaptation in English under the name Betrothed to My Sister’s Ex, from January 20th, 2026, onwards. The manga is also published in English under Comico’s Pocket Comics website.
