The original novel was originally published by Kuzu on Shousetsuka ni Narou in November 2017. Earth Star Entertainment acquired it in July 2018 and put it to print with illustrations by Ueda Yumehito (character designer for True Tears). A manga adaptation illustrated by Nanae Akio launched in Comic Earth Star in November 2018, the seventh volume of which will be released on October 12.

In this world, everyone is granted a “Class” by a goddess, which imparts them with a natural talent for using various skills. As the son of two bearers of rare “Advanced Classes” young Arel shows great promise, but when the time comes for the Class-bestowing ritual everyone goes through at 10 years of age, the officiating priest draws a blank. He is, as it turns out, “classless”. But, used as he is to train with his incredibly powerful mother even before the ritual, the result doesn’t discourage him for even a moment: thus he sets out to learn the skills everyone is naturally gifted for the hard way. In a world where people have their future handed down to them from above, how far can he go on hard work and gumption alone?
