The official website for the second season of the Kakuriyo Yadomeshi (かくりよの宿飯 / Kakuriyo – Bed & Breakfast for Spirits) TV anime has revealed that the show will premiere on October 1st, 2025, on the Tokyo MX channel.
The anime’s first season was directed by Okuda Yoshiko at GONZO Studios, and it premiered in April 2018. Yoshizaki Joe directs the anime’s second season at GONZO and Makaria studios.
All 26 episodes of the first season can be streamed on Crunchyroll. Crunchyroll has also confirmed that it will stream the new season, as it airs in Japan, in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, the CIS, and India. The anime is described by Crunchyroll below:
“After losing her grandfather, Aoi—a girl who can see spirits known as ayakashi—is suddenly approached by an ogre. Demanding she pay her grandfather’s debt, he makes a huge request: her hand in marriage! Refusing this absurd offer, Aoi decides to work at the Tenjin-ya bed and breakfast for the ayakashi to pay back what her family owes.”

The anime is based on the Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi ( かくりよの宿飯 ) light novel series, written by Yuuma Midori (Minazuki-ke no Iinazuke, Torii no Mukou wa, Shiranai Sekai Deshita) and illustrated by Laruha (Majutsu-shi Kunon wa Mieteiru). Yuumna started the novel series in April 2015 in Kadokawa’s Fujimi L Bunko imprint, and Kadokawa published the 12th novel in March 2022.
