Staff for the Isekai no Sata wa Shachiku Shidai (The Other World’s Books Depend on the Bean Counter/ 異世界の沙汰は社畜次第 ) TV anime have revealed the main promotional video for the show, which is scheduled to premiere on Japanese TV in January 2026.

Crunchyroll will stream the anime as it airs in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, and the Indian Subcontinent. The anime will be streamed under the English title Isekai Office Worker: The Other World’s Books Depend on the Bean Counter.
Ishihara Shinji is directing the anime at Studio DEEN, and the anime will star:

The anime is based on the Isekai no Sata wa Shachiku Shidai boys-love light novel series by Wakatsu Yatsuki. Author Wakatsu started the story in March 2018 on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website, and Kadokawa published the first novel with illustrations by Ohashi Kikka in February 2019. The third novel was published in September 2021.
Irodori Kazuki started the manga adaptation of the novels in March 2020 on Kadokawa’s ComicWalker Website, now known as KadoComi. Kadokawa published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in October 2020, and the seventh volume was released on October 31st, 2025.
Yen Press releases the light novels and the manga adaptation in English under the title The Other World’s Books Depend on the Bean Counter. The third novel was released in March 2025, and the manga’s sixth volume will be released on January 20th, 2026. Yen Press describes the novel’s story below:
“One day, twenty-nine-year-old accountant Seiichirou Kondou is accidentally transported to another world. As compensation, the Romany Kingdom promises to take care of all his living expenses, but the workaholic Seiichirou still asks for a job. Once he’s placed in the Royal Accounting Department, he starts whipping his lackadaisical colleagues into shape.
