Anime adaptations of isekai novels, which involve the main character being transported into another world via either reincarnation or summoning, have become increasingly popular over the last few years. The first season of Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi was directed by Matsuda Kiyoshi and produced by MAPPA Studio (Shingeki no Kyojin, Yuri!!! On Ice and Banana Fish). The show premiered in January 2023, and while no further details have been released regarding season 2, the expectation is that the team will remain mostly unchanged.
