Nara (Neko-ane) started the fantasy manga in January 2016 in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shounen Magazine, and Kodansha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in June 2016. The manga’s 20th volume was released in September 2025.
The manga can also be read on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket service.

The manga follows Shinonome Hajime, an adventurer of the Silver Range, who is dedicated to fulfilling missions for the guild. One day, when completing a quest for monster meat, he finds a strange girl named Rirui in a dungeon who’s far more trouble than she’s worth. Saving the girl from certain death, her story reminds him of his similar past, and he takes her under his care. And so the two of them begin living together, but Rirui is not just a normal girl…!?
