Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine has announced that the Mahoutsukai Rose no Sado Life (The Sado Life of Rose the Witch/ 魔法使いロゼの佐渡ライフ) manga by Ominaeshi has been green-lit for a TV anime adaptation. The manga was also featured on the cover of the magazine’s April 2026 issue.

In celebration of the anime news, Ominaeshi has released the following illustration.
Ominaeshi started the manga in August 2022 in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine, and Houbunsha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in May 2023. The manga’s sixth volume is scheduled for release on March 12th, 2026.
The manga centres on Rose, a witch and outcast in her world due to her black hair. Tired of it all, she decides to use her powers to travel to another world and ends up in modern-day Japan, on the island of Sado.
