Kodansha has announced that the Megane, Tokidoki, Yankee-kun (Glasses With a Chance of Delinquent/ メガネ、時々、ヤンキーくん ) manga by Naruki has been green-lit for a TV anime adaptation. Manga artist Naruki has released an illustration in celebration of the anime news.

Naruki started the romance manga in January 2021 in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Friend magazine, and Kodansha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in June 2021. The manga’s 10th volume was released in December 2025, and the 11th volume is scheduled for release on May 13th, 2026.
Seven Seas Entertainment releases the manga in English under the name Glasses With a Chance of Delinquent, and it will publish the manga’s seventh volume on July 14th, 2026, and the eighth volume on October 20th, 2026. Seven Seas Entertainment describes the manga story below:
“Momose has always longed for a peaceful high school life. She wants nothing to do with hoodlums, delinquents, or troublemakers. When she meets Ichikura, an inconspicuous black-haired boy with glasses, he looks like a normal, nice guy. But it turns out that back in junior high he was a nefarious delinquent!
