Kadokawa’s Monthly Comic Alive magazine has confirmed that the Liar Liar (ライアー・ライアー) manga by Yukina Funa will end in the magazine’s September 2026 issue, available for sale on July 27th, 2026.
The manga is an adaptation of Kuou Haruki’s light novel series titled Liar Liar: Usotsuki Tenkousei wa Ikasama Cheat-chan to Game o Seisuru Sou Desu (ライアー・ライアー 嘘つき転校生はイカサマチートちゃんとゲームを制するそうです。).Kadokawa published the first novel in April 2019, with illustrations by Konomi, and the 15th and final novel in November 2023.

Yukina started the manga adaptation in August 2019 in Kadokawa’s Monthly Comic Alive magazine, and Kadokawa published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in April 2020. The manga’s fourth volume was released in August 2023.


Yen Press releases both the novel series and manga adaptation in English under the name Liar Liar. It will release the eighth novel on July 14th, 2026 and the manga’s fourth volume on July 28th, 2026. Yen Press describes the manga story below:
