Shogakukan’s Ciao magazine has announced that the Shining! (シャイニング！) manga by Maita Nao will end in two more chapters. The news was confirmed in the magazine’s August 2026 issue.
Maita (Otona wa Wakattekurenai., 12-Sai.) started the manga in July 2023 in Shogakukan’s Ciao magazine, and Shogakukan published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in December 2023. The manga’s eighth volume was released in April 2026, and the ninth volume will be released on July 24th, 2026.
The manga follows Nene Daikon, a 10-year-old elementary school student, who simply enjoys every day to the fullest. But one day, while wondering, “How do you find your dreams…?”, Nene has a fateful encounter with Takito Taki, a popular actor. This encounter leads Nene to the world of entertainment, a world she never imagined.
