Square Enix’s Monthly Gangan magazine has confirmed that The Faceless Mercenary Wants to Settle Down (フェイスレス・ドロップアウト ) light novel series by Ryuuto is getting a manga adapation by Matsuse Daichi. The manga will start in the magazine’s September 2026 issue, available for sale on August 25th, 2026.

Author Ryuuto started the original story in July 2024 on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website, and Kadokawa published the first novel in July 2025 with illustrations by Heiro. The second novel was released in January 2026, and the third novel will be released on September 10th, 2026.
Seven Seas Entertainment will publish the first novel digitally in English under the name The Faceless Mercenary Wants to Settle Down: Homestead at the Edge of the Galaxy on October 27th, 2026. Seven Seas describes the story below:
