The 48th and final tankoubon volume for Kusanagi Mizuho’s Akatsuki no Yona (Yona of the Dawn/ 暁のヨナ) manga was released on October 20th, 2026.

Manga author Kusanagi (Mugen Spiral, Game × Rush, NG Life) started the manga in August 2009 in Hakusensha’s Hana to Yume magazine, and Hakusensha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in January 2010.

Viz Media releases the manga in English under the name Yona of the Dawn, and it will release the 47th volume on January 5th, 2027. Viz Media describes the story below:
“Princess Yona lives an ideal life as the only princess of her kingdom. Doted on by her father, the king, and protected by her faithful guard Hak, she cherishes the time spent with the man she loves, Su-won. But everything changes on her 16th birthday when tragedy strikes her family!
Yona reels from the shock of witnessing a loved one’s murder and having to fight for her life. With Hak’s help, she flees the palace and struggles to survive while evading her enemy’s forces. But where will this displaced princess go when all the paths before her are uncertain?”
The Akatsuki no Yona manga inspired a 24-episode TV anime in 2014, and in December 2025, it was announced that the show will get a sequel. The anime’s first season is available to stream on the Crunchyroll website under the name Yona of the Dawn.
