Maō-gun Saikyō no Majutsushi wa Ningen Datta Anime Announcement

Happinet explicitly states that the anime is an adaptation of the manga, which is an adaptation of the original light novel series. The manga created by Anajiro is based on the novel series by Hata Ryousuke (Realist Maou ni yoru Seiiki naki Isekai Kaikaku, Takarakuji ga Atatta node Level 1 kara Seiken o Katte Miru) and illustrated by Kuma.

Hata launched the light novel series on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in February 2016, and Futabasha published the fifth novel in April 2018. Anajiro started the manga adaptation in 2019 on Futabasha’s Gaugau Monster website, and the manga’s 10th tankoubon volume will be released on January 30th, 2024. Kuma and Anajiro drew illustrations to celebrate the announcement of the anime adaptation.

Ike is “the strongest magician in the demon king’s army” and single-handedly conquers the fortress. How he mowed down the enemies with his immense magic makes him a “monster” feared by allies and foes alike. However, he had a secret that he could not tell other demons.

“—I’m actually human.”

Aiming for coexistence between demons and humans while the leader of the demon’s army hides the fact that he is a human!?
