This week, the first full trailer for the original anime Girls Band Cry was released, confirming the anime’s premiere date as April 5th, 2024.

Sakai Kazuo (Love Live! Sunshine!!, Mushi-Uta) will be directing the anime at Toei Animation (One Piece, Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball), and the anime will premiere on April 5th on the Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, and BS11 channels. The anime will star RINA as Nina Iseri, Yuri as Momoka Kawaragi, Mirei as Subaru Awa, Natsu as Tomo Ebizuka, and Syuri as Rupa.
The main character drops out of high school in her second year and aims to enter a university while working alone in Tokyo. A girl is betrayed by her friends and doesn’t know what to do. Another girl is abandoned by her parents and tries to survive in the city by working part-time.
