The anime is set to run for four cours (a quarter of the year) and cover the rest of the original manga story. The anime’s first cours premiered in October 2022, and the second cours debuted in July 2023.

The anime is an adaptation of Kubo Tite’s Bleach manga, which ran from 2001 to 2016 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump magazine. Shueisha released the manga’s first tankoubon volume in January 2002 and the final volume, number 74, in November 2016. The Bleach manga inspired a TV anime from 2004 to 2012, with 366 episodes and various anime films, video games, OVAs, stage plays, and one live-action film.
