The official Twitter account for the Ganbatte Ikimasshoi (Give It All) anime film has revealed a new trailer and its main visual. The film, based on Shikimura Yoshiko’s Ganbatte Ikimasshoi novel, will premiere on October 25th, 2024.

Sakuragi Yuuhei (Soutai Sekai, Ingress) will direct the anime film at Studio Moe and REIRS, while Shochiku will be in charge of distribution. The anime film will star Amamiya Sora as Eiko Murakami, Itou Miku as Hime Saeki, Takahashi Rei as Rina Takahashi, Kitou Akari as Miyoko Hyoudou and Hasegawa Ikumi as Mayumi Inomoto.
Shikimura released the novel in 1996, and it won the Bocchan Literary Prize in 1995. The book also inspired a live-action film in 1998 and a live-action series in 2005. Set in Matsuyama City in Ehime prefecture, the story follows the trials and tribulations of five girls who join their high school’s competitive rowing team.
