Also known for Questmore, Gurgamoth and Some Distant Memory, Galvanic originally announced the game via a trailer on June 20, 2021. While at first predicted for late 2022, the release date got pushed back into the following year and was eventually confirmed for the current date in June 2023, with a trailer showcasing 13 minutes of gameplay also being revealed. The game also participated in the Save & Sound Steam event on September 11-14.

As the titular wizard, the player is marooned in a shattered world. Their mission, where others have failed, is to venture out in search of artefacts called Ancient Gears to prevent a world-ending catastrophe while fighting off the forces of chaos with guns loaded with ensorceled bullets. With each explored area being procedurally generated, a run is considered successful when an Ancient Gear is recovered, but the player can keep going to collect more resources, which are used to expand the home base and build facilities, craft items and upgrade gear and ammunition. Exploration is influenced by the spell and gear loadout, and bullet elements have different effects (Fire will spread to nearby enemies, Poison will deal damage over time, etc.), which can be further combined to change their behaviour and capacity for destruction. An extensive character customization function is also available, as well as 4-player co-op gameplay.
