Kadokawa released a new promotional video for the TV anime Yarinaoshi Reijou wa Ryuutei Heika o Kouryaku-chuu (The Do-Over Damsel Conquers the Dragon Emperor), and it confirmed the anime’s premiere date as October 9th, 2024.

Suzuki Kentarou is directing the anime at J.C. Staff studios, and the anime will star:

- Toya Kikunosuke as Hadis Teos Rave
- Izawa Shiori as Rave
- Hino Mari as Camila
- Tachibana Tatsumaru as Zeke
- Toki Shunichi as Gerard
- Nukui Yuka as Sphere
The anime is based on the Yarinaoshi Reijou wa Ryuutei Heika o Kouryaku-chuu light novel series by Nagase Sarasa (Akuyaku Reijou Nanode Last Boss o Katte Mimashita, Kandou Sareta no de Tantei-ya Hajimemasu! Jitsu wa Boukoku no Joouda Nante Naisho Desu) and Fuji Mitsuya (Watashi wa Teki ni Narimasen!, Watashi wa Gotsugōshugina Kaiketsu Tantou no Oujo de Aru).
Nagase started the ongoing story in November 2019 on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website, and Kadokawa published the first novel with illustrations by Fuji in March 2020 and the seventh novel in February 2024. Cross Infinite World is releasing the novels in English, and it released the fourth novel on March 31st, 2024.
The light novels were also adapted into a manga by Yuzu Anko (Akuyaku Reijou Nanode Last Boss o Katte Mimashita) in July 2020 in Kadokawa’s Comp Ace magazine. Kadokawa published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in October 2020 and the seventh volume on July 25th, 2024.
