The light novel series Seiken Gakuin no Maken Tsukai (The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy) by Shimizu Yuu will end with the release of its 16th novel on October 25th, 2024.
Kadokawa released the first novel in the series by Shimizu (Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance) in May 2019 with illustrations by Tousaka Asagi (Buta no Liver wa Kanetsu Shiro, Megami no Yuusha o Taosu Gesu na Houhou, Level 0 no Maou-sama, Isekai de Bouken-sha o Hajimemasu) and the 15th novel in April 2024.
The novels inspired a manga adaptation by Keigen Asuka in November 2019. The ongoing manga is serialized in Kadokawa’s Shounen Ace magazine, and Kadokawa released the manga’s first tankoubon volume in May 2020 and the ninth volume on September 25th, 2024. The novel series also inspired a TV anime adaptation which premiered in Japan in October 2023.
