FUNA and Sukima’s Potion-danomi de Ikinobimasu! Hanano to Lotte no Futari Tabi (Survive by Relying on Potions! Hanano and Lotte’s Journey) manga will end with the release of the second tankoubon volume on February 7th, 2025. The manga is a spinoff of the Potion-danomi de Ikinobimasu! (I Shall Survive Using Potions!) light novel series by FUNA and Sukima.
Manga author FUNA (Watashi, Nouryoku wa Heikinchi de tte Itta yo ne!, Rougo ni Sonaete Isekai de 8-Man-Mai no Kinka o Tamemasu) and artist Sukima started the spinoff manga on Kodansha’s Suiyoubi no Sirius online manga page in January 2023, and Kodansha published the first volume in October 2023.
FUNA started the original Potion-danomi de Ikinobimasu! (I Shall Survive Using Potions!) story in 2015 on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website. Kodansha published the first novel with illustrations by Sukima in June 2017 and the 10th and final novel in December 2023.
The original novel series was adapted into a manga by Kokonoe Hibiki from 2017 to November 2021 under the name Potion-danomi de Ikinobimasu! (I Shall Survive Using Potions!). The manga was serialized on Kodansha’s Suiyoubi no Sirius online manga page, and Kodansha published the manga’s first volume in November 2017 and the ninth and final volume in December 2021.
The original Potion-danomi de Ikinobimasu! novel series was also adapted into a TV anime, which premiered in October 2023. All 12 episodes can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
J-Novel Club released both the original novel series and Kokonoe’s manga adaptation in English under the name I Shall Survive Using Potions!. J-Novel Club released the manga’s ninth and final volume digitally in June 2022 and will publish the tenth book of the novel series on March 14th, 2025. It describes the story below:
