Dan is a nonbinary person still figuring themselves out, a junior in high school who suffered major heartbreak before coming back from vacation. With their heart still hurting and promising to never get involved with anyone again, they find themselves falling for a pretty new girl who's singing Nirvana while listening to music on her headphones. Maybe their heart won't stay broken forever, after all.
