Joka always longed for stability, but a magical book forces him to constantly flee in search of safety. When he's pursued by an elven army led by Commander Silvio, whose motives are not solely driven by the king's orders, his hope for a settled life vanishes. Adding to his woes are his traveling companions: the optimistic faun Tomas and the hot-tempered eluranthrope Rika, whose combined antics constantly get them into trouble.
