He hasn't done a lot and wants to make up for it. He wants to try new things and learn some stuff that he hasn't before. Once he does, was it better or worse than he expected? He'll make friends along the way for sure, form new bonds, but maybe they'll learn something from him.. something he doesn't want to ever talk about with others.
