Yoshinaga Taiyo, a "soon to be a high schooler" confesses to his crush, Ono Himawari. His confession did not go as he planned and he got rejection instead. His best friend, Itou Akari offers him his specialty dish as a form of soothing Taiyo's broken heart. They live their normal lives as a normal high school boy until Taiyo's grandmother, Yoshinaga Tsubaki passes away. They encounter a few 'supernatural phenomena' that lead to unraveling both Taiyo and Akari "origin".
