The NTL app has a new update. Marika Kashiwagi is a married rural housewife living in a declining village, Togetsumura, with her son Keita and husband Tetsu. Keita's insistence on moving to a city and transferring to a bigger school has finally worked on his parents. They reluctantly agreed. One day, Marika's husband Tetsu gives her some money he's saved up to go buy a pair of smartphones. If Keita does move, they would be able to stay in touch. However, when Marika turns on her phone, it came pre-installed with the NTL app. She updates the app thinking little of it, and an AI digital avatar named Saya emerges to help her navigate through the new game. Will Marika be able to withstand the NTL app's games? Or will she fall like the rest?
