A well-written and really seriously painful (for my heart) series. There are nice calm times, but generally it tend to be tense throughout the chapters due to its plot's nature, and isn't trying to pull punches. For me what drew me was the incredible family drama and child raising (may or may not be mishap, depending on whether you want to blame the grander situation or not) going on but on god I need to take breather every few chapters
