Desperate to publish her scientific treatise with the demanding Staurffen publishing house and escape her oppressive life in a Victorian mortuary, an ambitious young woman builds a seemingly innocent electromagnetism device; however, the experiment unleashes a cosmic catastrophe that materializes the mortuary's dead and draws vengeful burned witches and spirits like moths to a flame. Trapped in a shifting labyrinth of doors leading to another dimension, she must fight to rematerialize alongside her family and best friend, reclaim her work, and save reality before it is permanently destroyed.
