The official website for the TV anime Kuroiwa Medaka ni Watashi no Kawaii ga Tsuujinai (Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms) released the show’s full promotional video this week, and it confirmed that the anime will premiere on January 6th, 2025. The anime will start broadcast on January 6th on TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, TV Aichi, TV Hokkaido, TV Setouchi, and TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting.

Okumura Yoshiaki (Shinka no Mi ~Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei, Elementhunters, Juusen Battle Monsuno) is directing the anime at Synergy studio, and the anime will star:

  • Iwasaki Ryouta as Medaka Kuroiwa
  • Amamiya Sora as Asahi Shonan
  • Hanazawa Kana as Tsubomi Haruno
  • Yano Hinaki as Tomo Namba

The anime is an adaptation of Kuze Ran’s Kuroiwa Medaka ni Watashi no Kawaii ga Tsuujinai manga. Kuze (Artist for Tenshin – World War Angel and Tokyo Ravens: Sword of Song) started the manga as a one-shot story in December 2020 and began serializing it in May 2021 in Kondansha’s Weekly Shounen Magazine. Kodansha released the manga’s first tankoubon volume in August 2021 and the 16th volume in October 2024. The manga’s 17th volume will be released on December 17th, 2024.

Kodansha USA Publishing releases the manga in English under the name Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms. It published the manga’s 14th volume in October 2024.
