The Tensei Shitara Dragon no Tamago Datta: Saikyou Igai Mezasanee (Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling) light novel series by Nekoko and Yanagida Naji has been green-lit for a TV anime adaptation. The anime will star Toki Shunichi as Ilusia, Koshimizu Ami as Divine Voice and Itou Miku as Myria.

Nekoko (Tsuihou Sareta Tensei Juu Kishi wa Game Chishiki de Musou Suru, Fushisha no Deshi: Jashin no Fukyou wo Katte Naraku ni Otosareta Ore no Eiyuutan) started the story in August 2015 on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website and Earth Star Entertainment published the first novel with illustrations by Yanagida (Re: Monster Ankoku Tairiku Hen) in December 2015. The 16th novel was released in June 2022.
Manga author RIO adapted the series into a manga in May 2017 in Comic Earth Star, and Earth Star Entertainment published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in June 2018 and the eighth volume in January 2025.
Seven Seas Entertainment releases both the novel and manga adaptation in English under the name Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling. It will publish the 10th novel on May 13th, 2025, and it released the manga’s seventh volume in February 2025. It describes the story below:
