The 18th and final novel of Kagami Takaya’s Dai Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu (The Legend of Great Legendary Heroes) light novel series was released on May 20th, 2025. The novel is the final book in the sequel series and in the franchise.

The Dai Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu light novel series is a sequel to the original Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu (The Legend of Legendary Heroes) novel series written by Kagami (Itsuka Tenma no Kurousagi, Owari no Seraph: Ichinose Guren, 16-sai no Catastrophe) and illustrated by Toyota Saori (Kono Yuusha ga Ore TUEEE Kuse ni Shinchou Sugiru, Mahou Joshi Gakuen no Suketto Kyoushi).

Publisher Fujimi Shobo published 11 novels in the original series from February 2002 to October 2006. Fujimi Shobo ceased to be an independent company in 2013, with its assets folded into Kadokawa. The novels are now under Kadokawa’s Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint label.

The first novel in the sequel series, Dai Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu, was published in October 2007, and the 17th novel was released in October 2017. All the novels are written by Kagami and include illustrations by Toyota.
