The production committee for the Isekai Munchkin: HP 1 no Mama de Saikyou Saisoku Danjon Kouryaku (Otherworldly Munchkin: Let’s Speedrun the Dungeon with Only 1 HP/ 異世界マンチキン ―HP1のままで最強最速ダンジョン攻略―) anime have announced that the anime has been delayed from its scheduled October 2025 debut. The announcement stated that the delay is to improve the quality of the show, but did not confirm a new premiere date.
Yoshimizu Kei and Fukushi Naoya are directing the anime at Durandal studios, and Yokota Mamoru is the chief director. The anime will star:
- Ura Kazuki as Yukito Kirihara
- Yuuki Kana as Charlotte R. Brownia
- Ishikawa Yui as Lumilia Sherwood
- Maeda Kaori as Liverna Dark
The anime is based on the Isekai Munchkin: HP 1 no Mama de Saikyou Saisoku Danjon Kouryaku manga by Shimizu Yuu and Aogiri Makoto. Shimizu (Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance, Seiken Gakuin no Maken Tsukai) and Aogiri started the manga in February 2019 on Nico Nico Seiga and Kodansha’s Suiyoubi no Sirius website. Kodansha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in September 2019 and its 12th volume in June 2025.
Kodansha USA Publishing releases the manga digitally in English under the name Otherworldly Munchkin: Let’s Speedrun the Dungeon with Only 1 HP, and it released the manga’s 10th volume in November 2024. Kodansha USA Publishing describes the manga’s story below:
“16-year-old Yukito Kirihara lives with his 14-year-old sister Sana, who he treasures more than anyone else. But when an ogre shows up outside of his window looking for Sana (a shocking event in its own right), Yukito leaps to save her—and is killed. He’s offered the promise of reincarnation by a mysterious woman, who gives him a character sheet in a mysterious book. But when Yukito sees Sana in there, too, he sets off to find her, and save them both—even if he only has 1 hp with which to do it!”
