The official website for the Saioshi no Gikei o Mederu Tame, Nagaikishimasu! (最推しの義兄を愛でるため、長生きします！) light anime has released the anime’s first teaser video. The anime is set to premiere in January 2026.

Morishita Yusuke is directing the anime at IMAGICA Infos and Imageworks Studio, and the anime will star Murase Ayumu as Alba and Aoi Shouta as Orsis.
IMAGICA Infos announced earlier this year that it has joined with Dai Nippon Printing, CYBIRD, and Blue Rights to form the boys’ love label Balloon. It was also confirmed that Ballon’s first project would be an anime adaptation of Asahi Tenma’s Saioshi no Gikei o Mederu Tame, Nagaikishimasu! (最推しの義兄を愛でるため、長生きします！) light novel series.
Author Asahi started the fantasy romance story in September 2021, and AlphaPolis published the first novel in November 2022, with illustrations by Kazuaki. The series’ sixth novel is scheduled for release on December 12th, 2025.
The novel’s story follows Alba, who is reincarnated as the new stepbrother of his favourite character from his previous life, Orsis, and struggles to change his sickly and short-lived fate and protect his favourite character’s smile.
The series was adapted into a manga by Tsujimoto Aki in January 2024 in AlphaPoli’s Andarche label, and AlphaPolis published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in August 2024. The manga’s second volume was released in July 2025.
