The official website for the Mata Korosarete Shimatta no desu ne, Tantei-sama (Killed Again, Mr. Detective?/ また殺されてしまったのですね、探偵様 ) TV anime has revealed the main promotional video and visual for the anime. It also confirmed that the anime will premiere on April 2nd, 2026, on the TBS channel at 25:58 JST (effectively April 3rd at 1:58 a.m. JST).

Naoya Takashi is directing the anime at Lifenfilms studios, and the anime will star:
- Yasuda Rikuya as Sakuya Outsuki
- Wakayama Shion as Lilithea
- Aoyama Yoshino as Yuriu Haigamine
- Konishi Katsyuki as Kaoruta Sozorogi
- Kugimiya Rie as Shaedina
- Tadaka Yuuki as Fido & Belka
The anime is based on the Mata Korosarete Shimatta no desu ne, Tantei-sama light novel series by Teniwoha and Riichu. Kadokawa published Teniwoha’s first novel with illustrations by Riichu in August 2021, and the series’s sixth novel in November 2025.
The novel series was adapted into a manga by Inaba in July 2022 on Kadokawa’s Dra Dra Flat manga website, and Kadokawa published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in March 2023 and the second and final volume in March 2024.
Yen Press has published both of the manga volumes in English under the title Killed Again, Mr. Detective?, and describes it the manga story below:
“Sakuya Outsuki is the son of a legendary detective, striving to follow in his father’s footsteps with the help of his assistant, Lilithea. This isn’t your average high-school sleuth, though-because he comes back to life every time he’s killed! Being a little too familiar with death and always awakening to Lilithea by his side, Sakuya’s happy to take on low-risk cases. Surely investigating a movie producer’s affair on a luxury cruise ship won’t pose any real threat! But when the duo ends up entangled in a larger and bloodier situation, Sakuya will have to get to the bottom of the mystery…and die trying!”
