Staff for the Demons’ Crest (デモンズ・クレスト) TV anime have revealed a teaser promotional video and teaser visual for the show, as well as confirming that the anime will debut in 2026. Warner Bros. Japan has confirmed the anime’s English title is Devil’s Crest.

Ushiro Shinji is the chief director, and Komaya Kenichirou is directing the anime at Production I.G. studios. The anime will star Shiraishi Haruka as Yuma Ashihara and Inagaki Konomi as Sawa Ashihara.
The anime is based on the Demons’ Crest (デモンズ・クレスト) novel series by Kawahara Reki and Horiguchi Yukiko. Author Kawahara, best known as the creator of the Sword Art Online novel series, and illustrator Horiguchi released the first Demon’s Crest novel in November 2022, under Kadokawa’s Dengeki Bunko label. The series’s fourth novel was released in December 2025.


The novel series was adapted into a manga by Tomoe and Takano Koroku in November 2022 in the HykeComic manga service, and Kadokawa released the manga’s only tankoubon volume in June 2024.

Yen Press releases the novel series in English under the name Demons’ Crest, and it published the series’s third novel in December 2025. Yen Press describes the novel story below:
“The latest VRMMORPG, Actual Magic, has sealed an entire class of sixth graders in a terrifying game of life or death. Countless dangers await eleven-year-old Yuuma and his friends. One of their classmates has been turned into a monster, and gargantuan beasts lurk around every corner. Their only hope? The demon Valac who has possessed Yuuma’s twin sister.
